STEVE ELLIOTT

President

Steve co-founded Medical Billing Resources in 1992 and has over 32 years healthcare experience in various financial, corporate and administrative positions.  He returned to MBR in 2003 and began the process of repositioning the company to better accommodate a growing demand for its billing services.  These initiatives included implementation of a new practice management system, development of a middle management infrastructure, and revamping the company’s billing model.  Steve also manages client development, financial and administrative activities of the company.  He has a BBA from Georgia College and did his graduate studies at the University of South Carolina.  Steve enjoys playing golf, cooking and reading.

JACKIE ELLIOTT

Chief Operating Officer

Jackie co-founded Medical Billing Resources in 1992.  Jackie served as President of MBR for its first 11 years managing all aspects of the company’s operations and growth.  She oversees the daily operations of the company, continuously looking for ways to fine-tune the billing process.  Much of her time is spent monitoring the work that MBR does for its clients as well as looking for ways to improve quality and efficiency of the staff.  Jackie received a BBA from Mercer University in 1991.  She enjoys playing golf.

KATHY FOX, CPC

Director Billing Operations

Kathy joined the MBR team in 2004.  She has more than 10 years medical office and billing experience.  Previously she held management positions in a large surgical practice as well as a large OB/GYN practice.  Kathy manages all billing operations of the company and works closely with her management staff to ensure that MBR provides the highest quality service to its clients.  She also works with clients as needed to provide support and coding assistance.  Kathy is an AAPC Certified Coder.  Her interests are music and playing the piano.

WENDY ABBOTT        

Director New Client Operations

Wendy joined the MBR team in 2001.  She works with new clients throughout their startup with MBR to ensure a smooth transition.  By working closely with the physician and the office staff she implements processes to make the daily flow of information between the client and MBR as smooth as possible.  She also assists new providers with the payer credentialing process.  Wendy graduated from Middle GA Technical College with a Certificate in Information Technologies in 1996.  She has worked in physician offices and the medical billing field for over 15 years.  Her interests are reading and working out.

DEBBIE ROSS

Billing Manager

Debbie joined the MBR team in 2000.  She was promoted to Billing Manager in 2001.  Before coming to MBR she was with an ophthalmology practice for 8 years.  Prior to entering the medical billing field she worked in the banking industry for many years.  Debbie manages the day-to-day billing and client support activity for approximately 18 clients.  She monitors the quality and productivity of her staff on a daily basis and communicates regularly with the clients assigned to her.  Debbie enjoys reading books on management and collecting classic Ford Mustangs.

LATUNDA STEPHENS

Billing Manager

LaTunda joined the MBR team in 2003.  She was promoted to Billing Manager in 2006.  She has over 7 years experience in medical billing.  LaTunda manages the day to day billing and client support activity for approximately 17 clients.  She monitors the quality and productivity of her staff on a daily basis and communicates regularly with the clients assigned to her.  LaTunda enjoys traveling and spending time with her children.

CAROL LAFFERTY

Manager of Training and Process Improvement

Carol joined the MBR team in 2002.  She has over 8 years of experience in the physician practices and medical billing.  She oversees the posting and reconciliation of all payments and electronic remittance processing on a daily and monthly basis.  She also manages secondary claims processing and NextGen training for new clients and MBR staff.  Carol earned a Certificate in Health Information Technology from Macon State College.  She enjoys home decorating and carpentry.

CHRIS DUBOIS

Outside Sales Representative

Chris joined the MBR team in 2006. He actively promotes the advantages of outsourced medical billing to prospective clients.  Chris began his professional sales career in 1999 upon graduating with a BBA from Georgia Southwestern State University. His background in the insurance and pharmaceutical industries lends valuable experience that he has incorporated into his sales approach for MBR.  Spending time with his wife and young son is what he enjoys most.
